AWANA
Reaching kids with the Gospel of Christ and Training them to serve him!
What is AWANA?
AWANA is our mid-week environment for kids ages K5 – 5th Grade where they can study and learn Biblical truths on their level.. all while having a blast and building relationships that will last a lifetime!
The word “AWANA” is an acronym that stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed. The ministry is based on 2 Timothy 2:15 – “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

A Few Things You’ll Want to Know:
When does awana start and end?
Parents can check your kids in as you come in, but AWANA won’t actually begin until 6:30p and AWANA will finish around 8:00p.
How do I get my kid checked in
on a Wednesday night?
Your child’s safety is VERY important to us!
We ask that you walk your child into the FLC each night. Check-in stations for all Clubbers (the kids) will be located in the FLC. You will receive a sticker with your clubber’s name on it that your child will need to wear throughout the night.
REMINDER: You are responsible for your child at all times outside of the 6:30 – 8:00pm time frame of AWANA.
What about before & after?
Your child’s safety is VERY important to us!
Due to us having no supervision for your child prior to 6:30 nor after 8:00, we ask that you supervise your child before and after AWANA.
Where do I go to pick up my kid?
AWANA Clubbers will be checked out from the FELLOWSHIP HALL.
I have heard about “FIRST WEDNESDAYS” – What are those?
We will not be having normal AWANA activities on the first Wednesday of each month.
This night will be set aside for a theme night and special activities that the whole family can enjoy. Please note, we will not have leaders on these special nights.
Clubbers must attend with a parent or guardian!
What does each night at AWANA consist of?
Each night at AWANA, clubbers will participate in two segments divided by gender:
1. Devotion Time
This is a time where clubbers will hear a biblical truth by Pastor Ben! There will be an activity sheet that clubbers can take home to memorize a verse and to think about the biblical truth that was covered during “Devotion Time.”
If they bring the sheet back the following week and say the verse, they will receive points & prizes.
2. Game Time
While the heartbeat of AWANA is found in Devotion Time, AWANA just wouldn’t be the same without GAME TIME! This is where we have time for high-energy team competition and age-appropriate games that vary from week to week.
Do y’all have anything else on wednesday nights?
Absolutely! We have Wednesday Night Supper, Trinity Student Worship, & Adult Small Groups.
